There is an exciting opportunity available to become a member of our greenkeeping team. We are keen to see applications from qualified greenkeepers and people with a knowledge of machinery/mechanic skills.

The role will include –

  • Operating powered equipment and vehicles in the maintenance of golf course putting greens, collars, tees, fairways and rough areas.
  • Operating other equipment, including hedge cutters, strimmers, slitters, spikers, trailers and ride-on mowers
  • Changing the location of tee-markers and general set up of the courses, ensuring they are suitable for play
  • Bunker maintenance
  • Maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Assisting in the construction of greens, tees, fairways and general landscaping, preparing root-zone, turfing or seeding and maintaining plants, trees, and general areas
  • Driving/operating the vehicles required for golf course maintenance and transporting resources. Such vehicles include buggies, utility vehicles, ATVs and tractors with associated attachments
  • Other duties delegated by senior management in accordance with the needs of the organisation

Full time permanent role. 35-45 hours per week averaging 40 hours per week over the year.

Desirable Skills

  • A Greenkeeping qualification and spraying qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience repairing machinery/mechanic skills desirable.

  • A full UK driving licence/own transport.

There is an exciting opportunity available to become a member of our very busy kitchen team. We are keen to see applications from both qualified chefs and those with strong kitchen experience. A chef in a golf club can have a very varied day starting with very early breakfast orders, moving on to a busy lunchtime, while managing a function going on in the next room, providing meals or a buffet. This role will suit someone who enjoys all areas of cooking and is flexible and able to handle a high work load at peak times.

The role will include –

  • Kitchen opening and preparation work
  • Preparing kitchen breakfast orders
  • Assisting Day Lunch/Evening Chefs with prep
  • Cleaning and maintaining the high kitchen standards
  • Ensuring food standards and presentation standards are maintained
  • Some covering holidays for lunch chefs will be required
  • Assist with preparing food for functions and events.

Part time permanent role. 20 hours per week.

Schedule: Thursday – Monday – 7am to 11am (20hrs p/w)

We are looking to employ an additional cleaner to further enhance the cleaning standards within the site with immediate effect.

You will be required to work between the hours of 5.00 – 7.30 AM Thursday to Sunday. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a busy environment, with overtime available for covering holidays and cleaning during midday room turn-arounds for functions.

Experience is desirable. Duties will include: vacuuming, Bathroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, washing of furniture, window cleaning and occasional use of electrical cleaning machinery i.e. buffing machine and wet pick-ups.

You will play a vital role as part of a growing team of staff, however, this post is predominately one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative and you will be expected to program your daily routine to meet the needs of the site. Protective clothing and other PPE will be provided as required.

Part time permanent role. 10 hours per week.

We are looking for a Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at Bulwell Hall GC, This is initially a seasonal position to work part time hours, this position may be extended to permanent for the right applicant. This will be 22.5 hours per week across various days which will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Shift times move through the summer with the day light hours, you may also be required to work some functions (such as wakes and birthday events)

Flexibility is essential to suit the needs of the business.

The role will include –

  • Taking food and drink orders
  • Assist with clearing and resetting tables within the restaurant
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently
  • Be responsible for accurate and efficient stock rotation
  • Be responsible for accurate cash handling, using EPOS system
  • Ensure the cleanliness and presentation of the bar and restaurant areas is always maintained
  • Assist with the swift collection of glasses and tableware
  • Change barrels when necessary
  • Line clean beer lines when instructed.
  • Wash up as you go

Part time permanent role. 22.5 hours per week.

Desirable Skills

  • Flexibility in working hours.
  • Similar previous experience is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and strong communication skills are essential.
  • Transport to/from work is required especially with late night finishes
  • Willing and enthusiastic to work as part of a team.

Job Type: Part Time Seasonal (Contract to end October 11th 2024) Position may be made permanent for the right applicant.

Salary: c£11.50 Per Hour
